12 Days | Arctic Finland to the Norwegian Fjords
Day 1: Arrival in Rovaniemi
Arrival in Rovaniemi, where your guide welcomes the group. Begin your Arctic journey in the capital of Finnish Lapland and experience the unique atmosphere of the Arctic Circle. Depending on your arrival time, enjoy an introduction to the city and the surrounding northern landscapes before settling into your hotel.
Day 2: Santa Claus Village & Journey to Saariselkä
Start the day at the world-famous Santa Claus Village, cross the Arctic Circle and enjoy the unmistakable atmosphere of one of Lapland’s must-see destinations.
Continue north towards Saariselkä through forests, open fells and vast Arctic landscapes. Along the way, the scenery becomes increasingly wild and remote. In Saariselkä, the program can include a reindeer safari, a traditional wilderness experience or, depending on the season, a snowmobile safari across the surrounding fells.
Overnight in Saariselkä.
Day 3: Saariselkä – Wilderness Experiences – Ivalo
Spend the morning enjoying the Arctic outdoors. Depending on the season, choose from reindeer experiences, fishing excursions, wilderness safaris, hiking or snowmobile adventures.
Continue to Ivalo, where an unforgettable husky walk offers the opportunity to meet these energetic Arctic dogs and experience the surrounding nature at a more relaxed pace.
Overnight in Ivalo.
Day 4: Inari, Sámi Culture & Journey to Lakselv
Travel to Inari, the cultural heart of Finnish Sámi life. Visit the award-winning Siida Sámi Museum and Nature Centre and discover the history, traditions and contemporary culture of the Sámi people.
Continue through Karigasniemi towards Norway, with scenic stops along the way as forests and fells gradually open into the vast landscapes of Finnmark.
Arrive in Lakselv for an overnight stay.
Day 5: Stabbursdalen National Park & Arctic Cultures
Explore Stabbursdalen National Park, home to the world’s northernmost pine forest. Enjoy a guided hiking experience through the striking landscape of river valleys, open wilderness and ancient pine forest.
Later, discover the multicultural heritage of the region, where Norwegian, Sámi and Kven traditions meet. Local exhibitions and cultural centers offer fascinating insight into the people who have lived in this Arctic environment for generations.
Continue towards the North Cape region.
Day 6: North Cape & Honningsvåg
Travel through dramatic Arctic landscapes to the legendary North Cape, where towering cliffs meet the Arctic Ocean. Spend time exploring the visitor center, enjoying the panoramic views and experiencing the extraordinary feeling of standing at one of Europe’s most iconic northern landmarks.
Continue to Honningsvåg.

Day 7: Honningsvåg – Alta
Leave the North Cape behind and travel south through spectacular coastal landscapes towards Alta. The route offers magnificent views of fjords, rugged mountains and open Arctic terrain.
Arrive in Alta and settle in for a two-night stay.
Day 8: Discover Alta
Spend a full day discovering one of Northern Norway’s most fascinating destinations.
Visit the UNESCO-listed prehistoric rock carvings and Alta Museum, where ancient images carved into the rocks tell the story of life in the Arctic thousands of years ago.
Continue to the striking Northern Lights Cathedral, one of Alta’s most recognizable modern landmarks.
Depending on the season, the day may also include a scenic fjord cruise, local artisan experiences or an easy nature walk in the surrounding landscapes.
Second overnight in Alta.
Day 9: Alta – Tromsø
Travel through some of Northern Norway’s most dramatic scenery towards Tromsø. Fjords, mountains and coastal landscapes accompany the journey throughout the day.
Arrive in Tromsø and explore the vibrant Arctic city. Visit the iconic Arctic Cathedral before taking the Fjellheisen cable car for spectacular panoramic views over Tromsø, the surrounding islands and the fjords.

Day 10: Whale Watching or Arctic Scenic Cruise – Narvik
Depending on the season, begin the day with an unforgettable whale watching excursion or a scenic Arctic fjord cruise. Experience the raw beauty of Northern Norway from the water, surrounded by mountains and open sea.
Continue south towards Narvik through spectacular Arctic landscapes.
Overnight in Narvik.
Day 11: Narvik & the Ofoten Railway
Discover Narvik, surrounded by dramatic mountains and deep fjords. Take the Narvikfjellet cable car for breathtaking views over Ofotfjorden and the surrounding peaks.
Later, experience one of Scandinavia’s most spectacular railway journeys on the Ofoten Railway, travelling through dramatic mountain scenery towards the Swedish border. Deep valleys, Arctic lakes and vast open landscapes create an unforgettable finale to the journey.
Second overnight in Narvik.
Day 12: Departure from Evenes Airport
Enjoy a relaxed morning before transferring to Harstad/Narvik Airport Evenes for your onward flight.
